With tickets, tents, and a whole lot of booze in hand, more than 200,000 music fiends arrived at Worthy Farm in England for this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Day one of the iconic musical extravaganza brought the heat in more ways than one, as the legendary festival returned after two years worth of delays.
Fans were forced to patiently wait after the much-anticipated 50th-anniversary bash planned for 2020 was canceled due to the pandemic… and then again the following year.
But if there’s any consolation — it was definitely worth the wait.
Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, and Kendrick Lamar are due to headline on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively, while Diana Ross will fill the Sunday legends slot.
But it wouldn’t be a normal festival without some last-minute disruptions thrown in.

This week’s ongoing rail strikes overtaking the UK caused problems for some after 40,000 staffers staged a walkout on Tuesday, and planned to do the same on Thursday, and Saturday.
Those who did manage to get to the festival successfully, though, are in for an action-packed weekend of non-stop music.
Day one of the festival — which runs until Sunday, June 26 — set the tone for the entire weekend as several DJ sets popped up across Worthy Farm throughout the day as more and more music lovers arrived.

Thursday’s biggest acts are set to take to the Glade stage for a day of classic bangers.
“Cola” hitmakers Camelphat are set to close the night off as the final act of the day. Before them, British musician Franky Wah will treat fans to an electric dance set.
Other performers that day include an exclusive DJ hybrid performance, as well as one of house music’s most famous founding fathers, Marshall Jefferson, who has been a key artist in Chicago’s music scene from the start.
“BMW” hitmakers Bad Boy Chiller Crew will be taking to The Rabbit Hole stage to cap the night off.
Friday’s first headlining night is guaranteed to be a hit among those in the crowd and those watching from their couches.
Billie Eilish will cap the night off as the final act of the day. The Academy Award and seven-time Grammy Award winner is expected to perform her biggest hits — old and new — during her hour-and-a-half-long set on the Pyramid Stage.
Up-and-coming British singer Sam Fender will warm the stage up for Eilish.
English rock band Foals will be taking to Other Stage as fans can expect the band to get the crowd rocking to their new song, “2am.”
Over on West Holts Stage, British rapper and star of Netflix’s “Top Boy” Little Simz will be delivering an energetic rap set.
The one and only Paul McCartney is the headlining act on the festival’s fourth day of action.
Set to take to the Pyramid Stage last, McCartney will be going on right after Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds — a band comprised of Oasis star Gallagher, guitarist Russell Pritchard, drummer Chris Sharrock, and keyboardist Mikey Rowe.
Before that, fans will get to see the Haim sisters perform their hit tracks during their hour-long set. They will take over the stage after British grime rapper AJ Tracey.
Over on Other Stage, Megan Thee Stallion is sure to get festivalgoers pumped up with her flirtatious rap set.
“Good 4 u” hitmaker Olivia Rodrigo will also be performing on Other Stage, as well as British band Glass Animals, known for their mega-hit, “Heat Waves.”
Fourteen-time Grammy Award winner — who is also a Pulitzer Prize winner for music — Kendrick Lamar will be rocking out on the Pyramid Stage as the festival’s final headlining act on Sunday.
Lamar’s performance comes hot on the heels of the release of his new album, “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.”
Elsewhere, icon Diana Ross will fill the Sunday teatime legends slot ahead of Lorde’s performance on the main stage.
Over on Other Stage, country star Kacey Musgraves will be performing during her hour-long set.
“Boom Clap” hitmaker Charlie XCX will be gracing the John Peel Stage for an hour-and-15-long minute set.
