Lucky for us, festivals are back in a big (and very safe) way here in the UK, and August is packed with the kinds of events that we’ve sorely missed.
So if it’s a sweaty rave, belting out nostalgic bangers at the top of your lungs, or getting in amongst it at the mainstage mosh, we’ve made a handy list of festivals taking place this August bank holiday weekend so you can make the most of your extra day off:

It’s hard to look past the smorgasbord of talent heading to London’s Victoria Park this August, which spans indie, grime, electronica, soul, pop, and everything in-between. Since its inception in 2018, All Points East has become of the city’s go-to events, and this summer is no different.

Wait there’s more: Field Day are returning to their motherland this year. After moving to Brockwell Park, then the Drumsheds after All Points East moved to town, they’re finally heading back in Victoria Park. Expect a homecoming of monumental proportions.

The new, diverse month-long festival held at Crystal Palace Bowl’s famed ‘rusty laptop’ culminates with some grandiose opera and vibey ambient sounds. A definite change of pace, but could be precisely what you need after the hectic summer holidays.

Everyone and anyone celebrating their A-Level and GCSE results will be making the pilgrimage to two of the UK’s most beloved music festivals, and this year will no doubt be another belter. The pent up energy and excitement will be off the charts.

This brand spanking new festival hits the sweet spot between emo and hip-hop, with a lineup that looks a bit bizarre at first glance but makes total sense when you realise how big it’s going to be. Not just now, but in years to come. Surely you want to be at the opening ceremony?

It’s the grand re-opening of London’s iconic Tobacco Dock, and Junction 2 are there to ensure that the grade 1 listed warehouses experience some serious raving and misbehaving with the best in the business. And that business is techno.
